Good article Ailina ! : )
Great and peactical word!
The night I was truly saved and the Holy Spirit filled me and convicted me , my husband and I had been fussing about something stupid, once the spirit of God was in me he began speaking to me . I learned it is not my job to teach or to preach at him that is God's job and he is filled with the spirit just like I am not and any correction or conviction that needs to happen will be done by them not me. Who am I to be judge and jury on anyone's life? I have learned to just take care of my behavior and that will keep me busy enough. I love my husband and I treasure him in all things in all ways. I prayed for this man to be my husband and he is so I need to let go and let God and the Holy Spirit work on BOTH of us. These messages are for older married couples at any age or length of relationships you can be come complacent with your spouse and think I have the ring now they aren't going anywhere. If you bought a beautiful rose bush in a plastic bucket , but instead of planting and tending it you set it out in the sun , at first it would look beautiful. On the outside and as time goes by it withers and dies and it gets tossed out . A marriage is no different. It takes time, love attention , patience and nurturing. Always and forever we get lazy. That is when the problems start. Hugs your partner every day really hug them to start out the day tell them you love them and mean it. Act like you love them with each chosen word you speak and the tone of how you speak it matters. Hugs to all of us trying to figure this out.
This is so good! Thank you for sharing your story and wisdom! AMEN!
WOW. What wisdom this is! I'm not married but this helps me in my relationships with family and friends, which is amazing and perhaps good preparation for marriage!
Thanks Jamal. Believe me it too 59 years to get this through my head. But the main thing is my husband is the first man to love me the way I needed to be no hold barred a hundred and 50 precent. He puts me first and I put him first above anything or anyone but God. I have learned hard lessons I have been divorced . The pure love and respect I have for him still amazes me after 13 years together. I know my God is real because he gave me this Christian man that loves me almost as much as God does. I feel love stronger now that I am saved and my husband and I are going to be baptized June 4. I am a work in progress with my walk but I work it every day. Blessings to you
I definitely needed this today. Thank you for all of your posts.
